Chartreuse Wedding Couture

Chartreuse is an unexpected and clever color scheme for a wedding. Halfway between yellow and green, chartreuse was introduced in 1764 by the French because of it’s resemblance to the green color of one of the liqueurs known as green chartreuse.

It is possible to create a luxuriously vibrant wedding using this bold fun color if you think outside the box.

This lightly ombre effect couture gown will certainly help your bridesmaids cause a stir when they enter the room. Pair it with an equally bold pair of lace up wedges for a refined finished look.

For a more toned down, yet still couture vibe, try using chartreuse as the focal color for your Bridesmaids and Groomsmen. Keep the accessories to a minimum, or opt out of using them all together. chartreuse-collage

Grayed Jade, The other Pantone Color of the Year 2013

After reading blogs and posts about the newest Pantone celebrity, “Emerald 17-5641, we found ourselves drawn to it’s little step sister.  She is softer and more understated than her older sibling, yet still creates her very own sense of style and charm without being to bright and overbearing.  Grayed Jade Pantone #14-011 is a star on her own, and stands to accent all of the color stars for the spring 2013 season.

The monochromatic tendencies that are common among the weddings recently create the perfect way to incoroporate her beauty.  Here are a few inspiration ideas that we love!
